چکیده
The aim of the review is to highlight principle action, effectiveness and prospects for development targeted therapy in treatment patients with malignant neoplasms based on recent clinical studies. Thanks active study tumor biology, specific target molecules have been discovered it has become possible cells drugs. Today, drugs are used tumors various organs continue demonstrate their effectiveness, improve overall survival progression-free time, compared previous standards treatment.

Cutaneous complications of molecular targeted therapy used in oncology
The new molecular targeted therapy has been developed over the past decades by using the molecular targeted molecular changes discovered in specific types of cancer. Unfortunately, most of these agents (epidermal growth factor receptors, multi-targeted small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitors, monoclonal antibodies) have severe cutaneous adverse reactions, that not only interfere with the pati...
متن کاملGalectin Targeted Therapy in Oncology: Current Knowledge and Perspectives
The incidence and mortality of cancer have increased over the past decades. Significant progress has been made in understanding the underpinnings of this disease and developing therapies. Despite this, cancer still remains a major therapeutic challenge. Current therapeutic research has targeted several aspects of the disease such as cancer development, growth, angiogenesis and metastases. Many ...
متن کاملSmall-molecule Bcl-2 antagonists as targeted therapy in oncology
Dynamic protein-protein interactions between proapoptotic and pro-survival Bcl-2 family members regulate outer-mitochondrial membrane permeabilization and cytochrome c release, key events in the path to apoptosis. Their relative levels often dictate the fate of a cell following an apoptotic stimulus. However, in cancer cells, the pro-survival Bcl-2 family members are frequently upregulated, the...
متن کاملRadioiodine Therapy in Differentiated Thyroid Cancer: The First Targeted Therapy in Oncology
Iodide uptake across the membranes of thyroid follicular cells and cancer cells occurs through an active transport process mediated by the sodium-iodide symporter (NIS). The rat and human NIS-coding genes were cloned and identified in 1996. Evaluation of NIS gene and protein expression is critical for the management of thyroid cancer, and several approaches to increase NIS levels have been trie...
متن کاملResistance to HER2-targeted therapy
Production and approval of trastuzumab (Herceptin®) for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer (MBC) was a millstone in antibody-based targeted therapy in the cancer treatment. However, despite the early success in the clinical trials, trastuzumab failed to appreciate the initial attraction due to development of resistance to the drug. The majority of patients who benefit from the drug...
